The first year of the We Will Dream: New Works Festival has been a success! To close out the festival, No Dream Deferred hosted the Juneteenth Liberation Fundraising Ball. On Monday, June 19th from 6 pm-9 pm, six outstanding artists were honored: Erika Dickerson-Despenza, Karen-Kaia Livers, Chakula Cha Jua, Lance and Zardis Nichols, along with guest speaker James Ijames. These individuals were honored for making significant contributions to the arts and uplifting Black voices.
